Getting Started with Blackboard

Every instructor at UNL already has Blackboard web space. You will be introduced to the teaching and learning features of MyUNL from the student and instructor perspectives.

Grade Center Basics and using Assignments

The Grade Center allows you to post and organize student grades. We'll learn how to enter scores, customize the display and export grades from the Grade Center.

The Assignment tool allows you to will create a secure location for students to submit work for a course assignments. You'll learn how to view, grade, download submitted work, and how to compose and send confidential feedback to students.

Tests, Surveys and Pools

Learn how to create a test, question types, and how to make a test available for students. Also look at setting test options, how to view grades and the statistics. Get a hands-on introduction to the assessment, survey and pool functions, with a focus on creating and grading tests. You will first take a test as a student, becoming familiar with how tests will appear to their own students. Then, turning to the instructor perspective, you will learn how to create and deploy a test and review the student results.
