Learning Spaces Collaboration Technologies team maintains two distance education classrooms for use by UNL faculty and students. There is no charge for using the rooms for UNL courses. There may be a cost associated with use for other activities. The rooms all feature H.323 video conferencing capabilities. The rooms are operated by trained technicians who will work with the faculty for each class to provide technical support and production services for the class. The following are the rooms and their capabilities:

  • Mabel Lee Hall room 128 - seats 30 students with push-to-talk microphones; dual projectors so that far site people may be seen on one, while high resolution content may be seen on the other; high definition (1080p) video conferencing with the ability to connect to three external sites. This room is also available for Adobe Connect events.

  • Teachers College room 202 - seats 50 students with push-to-talk microphones; dual plasmas displays at the front of the room with a single large projection screen so that people and content may be seen simultaneously; standard definition video conferencing with the ability to connect to three external sites.
